Welcome Roaring Forks of Lions 4-A3

District Governor Joe Woodruff has proclaimed us the "Roaring Forks of Lions 4-A3." In keeping with his theme this year, we are to enjoy each others' companionship and have a rollicking good time while doing fabulous service projects for our communities. Fun and service go hand-in-hand.

Lions In Sight at Avenal Prison

Lion PDG Jeff Roundy announced that the Lions in Sight project at Avenal Prison is up and running. He sent out an open letter, complete with pictures which all District members should read.

Coastal California Lions

Lions District 4-A3 is located along the coast of California, north of Los Angeles and south of Big Sur. If you'd like to find a Lions club in Ventura, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo counties, please click on Find a Club and enter the name of your city.

Congratulations to Lion VDG Dan Lyon

After Vice District Governor-elect Lion John Boes was transferred to Texas, Lion Dan Lyon from the Ventura Downtown Lions Club stepped forward and volunteered to run for VDG. At the special cabinet election meeting in Orcutt, he was the only volunteer, and so was elected unanimously.

Congratulations Lion DG Bill

Lion District Governor Bill Dunlevy was chosen to be the new MD4 Council Chairperson for 2008-09. This is a fantastic award and a testiment to the hard work all of us have put in this year. Our District gained 97 members in the past 11 months (through May), the most in the Multiple District and was the largest contributor to Sight First II. Congratulations to Lion Bill, his wife, Lion Margaret, and all of us for helping to make his year so successful.

CSFII Surpasses Goal
